15th sketch 15 february 2012

Time for our 15th of the month scrapbook sketch challenge.  Here's our sketch this month:

And here is our scrapbooking challenge:

February 22nd is Baden Powell Day – Baden Powell was the founder of Boy Scouts, and his sister Agnes was the founder of Girl Guides. Scrap a memory of you in Scouting or Girl Guides (brownies, Sparks, Guides, etc.) or a memory of a group you belonged to when you were a child or teen. You may include a momento or journal a memory of what belonging meant to you.

Don't forget that if you play along with this challenge, complete our blog hop this month, or play along with our 1 February challenge by the 28th of this month, you are eligible for a chance (one chance per challenge and completed blog hop) for this FREAKING AWESOME prize:

Here is what our DT came up with:

  3. What a fun challenge blog this is!! I loved the sketch so decided to play. Unfortunately I have never been in any scouting group (and I have almost no photos of my youth so I used one of my youngest son). Hope that's okay. Have a fab weekend.

  4. Yes, that is certainly OK Monique. I don't want those who want to play along with the blog to feel that they have to follow exactly to play along. I just hope to encourage them to scrap about themselves and their history so that their children and others might know them and appreciate them. We tend to scrap about our families, and forget ourselves. It is a wonderful gift to leave a piece of our true selves behind for our families to remember and cherish.

  5. How wonderful to find those old brownie drawings. We found my old Patch doll (she was Sindy's little sister) last weekend in her Brownie uniform. I'd love to play along - but I'm not sure where my photos are....
Maybe I'll just have to bookmark this is for a later time.

  6. I loved the fact that this challenge prompted me to locate my children's photos of the time they were involved in brownies and cubs. It was great to recall the wonderful activities they were involved in and the fun they had on camps. The photos are not great quality but it still brings back lovely memories.
