Sandra has been playing along with us regularly, and we thank her for sending us the suggestion for this month's 1 December 2012 challenge.  We are very pleased to have her as a guest designer this month, and recommend that you visit her blog to see her lovely work!!

 

I'm a happily married retired lady and my husband and I have four adult children and six grandchildren who are subjects of my scrapbooking. We live in Australia and love to travel our beautiful country and intend to do more now we're retired.

I started scrapbooking in 2007 and don't really have a style of my own yet because I swap and change while trying to guess what the challenge sites want to see. Sometimes I love nice clean lines and other times I love to distress, fussy cut and ink everything.

I feel that I'm improving each day and have started to Art Journal and use mixed media; it's fun getting messy and I love to see what the end result brings. I've found this a great way to learn how to use mixed media and then transfer it to a scrapbook page.

I'm Dani Cristina,

already 30 years old, living with my husband in the sunny state of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
I knew the art of scrapbooking in 2010, but before I occupied myself with oil paintings and drawings, then I fell in love with this new way to preserve memories and share with people so friendly.
I'd say my style is artistic, like working with textures and technique Mixed Media too.
I'm happy with the invitation and I hope you enjoy my participation.

My work was a gallery inclusion in Issue 67 of Scrapbook Magazine.  Alas, I cannot find a copy over here and there are no longer copies available from the company!!

1 november 2012 scrapbook challenge ...

Hallowe'en has just passed - and it is time to get ready for Christmas - but wait - it is also time for our November 1 challenge!!

Our challenge this month is to:

 Scrap about your first job. If you have photos of you from that era, include one, or any other photo that is significant about that time. Include a bit of journaling if you like of your memories. Did you like it? Hate it? Were you nervous?

I don't have photos of my first job, but I do of my third - at the tender age of 17 or 18.  Always feel free to adapt to our challenges but keep in the same spirit as much as you can.

So excited this month to feature Margaret Walz and her work.  Margaret has been playing along with our challenges for sometime, and we love her interpretations of our challenges. Hello my name is Margaret, but everyone calls me Mar. I wasn't going to Scrapbook, but fell victim to the addiction when my daughter opened Scrapbook Fantasies in 2003. I am a widow with two children and five grandchildren, all of whom feature in my creations.

Who I am? I am a 38 years girl from Norway.

I have 2 lovely girls, 2 kittens and a handsome man,

I started scrapping in 2007 - and I love this hobby:)

My style is very different. I love painting on my layouts - and I love vintage and shabby style.

I do some cards and art journals - but mostly layouts:)
